As the weather warms up, it's time to get creative with your accessories. One of the most versatile pieces in your wardrobe is the pashmina shawl. Whether you're heading to a summer wedding, a beach vacation, or a casual day out, a pashmina can be styled in numerous ways to elevate your look.
There is no item that works harder in your wardrobe than a pashmina shawl. It can be used to add layers to keep your warm in those chillier evenings, as a pareo on the beach, as a headscarf or even as a top.
You probably associate cashmere and pashminas with the winter months, so how can they be worn in summer too?
What is a Pashmina?
Pashmina is made using cashmere fibres from the Capra Hircus goat, that thrives in the Himalayas at altitudes above 12,000 feet. Natural cashmere fibres are extremely fine (between 10-14 microns in diameter, or 6-8 times thinner than a human hair) which gives cashmere garments an incredible warmth-to-weight.
Cashmere offers incredible breathability. Its natural fibres allow air circulation, keeping you cool and at ease even in the most sweltering temperatures.
If you purchase high quality cashmere, such as those used to create our pashminas, it’s not just the breathability of the fabric, the unparalleled softness, and an effortless elegance – it’s that it’s relatively lightweight for the warmth it provides.
A pashmina shawl is a lightweight and versatile accessory that can be draped over the shoulders or wrapped around the body to add style and functionality to any summer outfit.
